LCS Corrections Services, Inc. relies on MWL Construction, Inc. for facility construction services. Like MWL Architects, MWL Construction, Inc. also traces its heritage to a predecessor, LeBlanc Construction Company, established in 1984, and likewise has many years of experience in the construction of correctional facilities.

MWL Construction and its predecessor have completed two major projects for LCS in recent years, the 704-bed Perry County Correctional Center in Uniontown, Alabama (opened April 2006) and the 1,056-bed Coastal Bend Detention Center in Robstown, Texas (opened December 2008). In addition to new construction, MWL Construction also handles renovations and expansions of existing facilities and is well-versed in the unique demands of conducting construction operations at an active correctional facility.

MWL Construction completed a major expansion of our Pine Prairie Correctional Center in 2008, new intake and medical departments at East Hidalgo Detention Center in 2010, and a new services building for South Louisiana Correctional Center that opened in early 2011. It is at present engaged in the construction of new housing units at East Hidalgo Detention Center and Brooks County Detention Center.
